Listen, working in the entertainment industry this summer as a low level intern has its advantages. One of such advantages is my new knowlege of what makes a good movie. I don’t claim to be the next Orson Welles (but who knows, I probably will), but let me just say, this would be the key example of what a good film is/represents. One making of a good film is the fact that you need to put other movies/shows your main actors have been in on your poster—that shows your audience that your movie is humble, approachable, and not caught up in this ‘crazy hollywood’ business. Another good making of a movie is when you have no idea what the movie could possibly be about (bikinis? generic taglines), based on the poser.
Thus concludes Friday’s lecture in “Hollywood 101.” See you next week, when we look at Osmosis Jones and its effects on neo-classical art.
